About me
I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) and am registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). I am also a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist with the Canadian Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (CAMFT), and a Certified EFT Therapist with the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT).
My professional experience was built through years of working in the child and family government services in Israel as well as in my private practice. In several therapy-focused positions in the Israeli public service, I worked with individuals, couples, and families of diverse backgrounds. My work in Family and Parenting Centers focused on issues of parenting challenges, marriage crises, blended families, and parental alienation. At the Child Development Unit, I worked with families with children with various disabilities to develop independence and resilience. At the Domestic Violence Treatment Centers, I helped women and men break the cycle of domestic violence.
My private practice experience includes 10 years of work with varied clients and topics. I have supported my clients through challenges such as relationship crises, anxiety, trauma, intercultural tensions, and depression.
I write a column called "Togetherness" in the Israeli newspaper “Haaretz”. The column looks at the “behind the scenes” of the world of therapy.
